In 1981, Nino Cea opened Geppetto Trattoria with the vision to create an unpretentious eatery for the locals that focused on Italian home style cooking. This idea was inspired by those eateries found in his hometown refion of Puglia in Italy. Along with the head chef Domenique Conte and son Adriano in the kitchen, Geppetto focuses on seafood, slow cooked meals and offal.
Situated opposite the MCG in East Melbourne, the restaurant is fully licensed and BYW (wine only). The restaurant seats 40 people downstairs and up to 35 people in a private in a private function room with a variety of function menus available.
